The Katie P Introduction

Hello readers and welcome to the Katie P Times. This blog is dedicated to discussing finance and the fine art of managing money, making money and investing disposable income. You'll notice that the paper currently houses three sections: finance, sports and fashion. These sections will illustrate the economic struggles and opportunities within each of these fields.

Before you truly begin to explore this site - you need to know a little about Katie P. First and foremost, I rarely refer to myself in the first person (as I just did) because I find it tedious and egotisitical. My apologizes upfront. Secondly, I am a journalist and editor in Chicago. I edit Chicago Scene Magazine; a small publication which focus on what's hot and what's not in the Chicagoland area. Our clientele are generally people who have an ample amount of disposable income - though, we've found these constituents are becoming few and far between. I have also written financial articles for Chicago Social, the Tribune and the Sun-Times.

Now that you have a brief resume (and know that you can both trust my advice and trust that I am NO egomaniac), this forum is my opportunity to share sound advice and speak candidely about money. This is a topic which has puzzled presidents, shocked stockbrokers and ended marriages. Therefore, closer examination is always necessary!
